Christine Tucker grew up Gwinnett County and attended the University of Georgia.  After graduating, she got her Masters Degree from Georgia State and became a school counselor in Gwinnett County.

Please help me pass the word about the RENEWAL Art Show this weekend for art education. This is an event for the entire Athens community. With the severe school budget cuts coming it provides critically needed support for art education in all 14 elementary schools in Athens Clarke County.

Athens  Habitat Women Build, a program of Athens Area Habitat for Humanity, empowers women to build homes, enabling them to positively impact the lives of families by making homeownership a reality. 

Athens Area Habitat for Humanity has a unique and affordable way for all of us to contribute toward building a new home in the Athens area.  Habitat is able to build a new 3-bedroom, 1-bathroom house in Athens for $67,000.  Of course, this is a daunting amount for one person or organization to contribute. However, the Community of 1,000 program allows us to all consider contributing. 

3tree Realty is pleased to support the Athens Area Homeless Shelter this holiday season.  The Athens Area Homeless Shelter, Inc. (AAHS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization serving homeless individuals and families in Athens-Clarke County, Georgia. AAHS was established in 1986 and was formally incorporated in 1990.

3rd Annual Jitter Joe’s Fall Classic Century & Terrapin Beer Tour is scheduled for Saturday, October 30, 2010, and promises to be fun for riders of all age levels and experience. Benefiting Athens Area Habitat for Humanity, this ride begins and ends at Terrapin Brewery. 

This summer our family, and several others as it happens, have discovered the great deal of Thursday Night Dinners at Earth Fare.  Every Thursday from 5-8 the Earth Fare Cafe features their "Kids Eat Free" dinner night, but unlike other freebies around town, this one allows you up to 6 kids per paying adult.
