A native Athenian, Whitney Winburn Goodstone joined the 3tree Realty family in 2022 in the role of Executive Assistant / Executive Airbnb Coordinator to her childhood friend Ceci Churchwell. With a passion for real estate and a zest for learning and personal growth and development, Whitney's working in real estate is a natural choice.
Whitney attended the University of Georgia where she earned her BBA with a double major in International Business and Finance. After graduating from UGA, Whitney set off for the land Downunder with a Working Holiday Visa, her savings, and a backpack. She met her husband, Warren, in Sydney, Australia thanks to a fateful meeting through one of his friends in the LA airport. Eventually they settled in Sydney where Whitney earned her law degree from the University of New South Wales and worked for Corrs Chambers Westgarth, a world-class Australian commercial law firm. Ultimately, Whitney and Warren returned to Athens in 1999 to be close to her family and start one of their own.
Whitney has two children. Her daughter, Sydney, gets her adventurous spirit from her mom. Sydney graduated in 2023 from the University of Southern California and is a producer with CNN in New York City. Whitney also has a son, Harrison, who is a proud University of Georgia graduate of 2023 with a major in real estate, and who is working in the student housing arena.
While rearing children in Athens, Whitney has worked with her husband in his import/export business, Wirko LLC, with a focus on building and furniture products supplying student housing and multi family property developers nationally and internationally. Whitney is the owner of Advance ADR LLC and has been a practicing mediator since 2012 which allows her to utilize her Australian law degree and negotiation skills, along with her diverse work background and life experiences. Whitney also enjoys coaching mediation at the University of Georgia Law School and at the J.W. Fanning Institute for Leadership and Development.
Whitney was a Founding Board Member of Books for Keeps, a non-profit organization originally established to provide 12 books, either donated or purchased at deeply discounted prices, to elementary students in Athens-Clarke County elementary schools. The organization now gives away more than 100,000 books each year and just celebrated the distribution of the 1 millionth book! Whitney has been the Chapter Advisor to Kappa Kappa Gamma at UGA since 1999, now with 360 members, where she loves working with and mentoring outstanding young women.
Whitney brings extensive experience in business and negotiations from her roles as a mediator and attorney. Beyond her legal career, she has firsthand involvement in buying and selling residential properties in Georgia and Australia, as well as commercial properties. During her time practicing law, she specialized in property development, and retail and commercial leasing. With a vast array of talents and an unparalleled education, Whitney brings her capabilities to 3tree Realty in a multitude of ways. Detail oriented, artistically minded, fiscally proficient, and well connected in the Greater Athens Area, we are thrilled to have her on our team.
